    A seven-study pilot found benefits in developing inclusion and diversity plans during study design, while identifying improvements needed in guidance and ethics-review presentation. A further voluntary implementation phase is planned from early 2027. Submitting a plan is encouraged but is not a legal requirement.

    UKHSA begins biomonitoring study of PFAS and other chemical exposures

    UKHSA is analysing blood and urine collected through the Health Survey England to establish baseline exposure levels for PFAS and other chemicals. Initial findings are expected in 2027. The agency says important evidence gaps remain and does not currently recommend routine PFAS blood testing.
